It is CSA compliant, has a tip-over switch, ODS sensor and a safety grill around the heating element You can use standard 1 lb throwaway (disposable) bottles - or you can get a propane hose and connect it to a 20lb BBQ propane tank. The throwaway bottles hide perfectly inside the heater. The propane hoses feed from the bottom of the heater through the umbrella hole in the table to the propane tank. You get about 3 hours of "high" use from a disposable bottle (which can be bought in any local hardware store).
